Random image selection

Nice library by the way; very easy to use and set up :-)

My question is: is there a way to select a random set of images using Athena?

You mean most recent photos ?

Basically, you can do the following

1. Pass the it with no params

var query = from photo in context.Photos
                  select photo;

This will  random interesting photos.

Hmm no, from my own photos, so I'd need to supply my username. My fear is that I'd have to read them all and then select random ones at that point, but then I'd have the overhead of streaming all that info across the wire.

Just wondering if there was a way to do it through your library, or even if the Flickr API supports that kind of query..

ok i will get you a Shuffle = True in the WHRE clause that will randomize your selection , will it be useful for you ?

It would be useful if it's something the Flickr API is able to expose. Otherwise, you'd still have to transfer all the possible data from their server before you can randomize it locally. If it's not something the API supports then don't worry about it; it's pretty trivial to randomize the results really.
